
Elsie Ramos grew up in a traditional Puerto Rican family in the Bronx, New York where her memories include playing outside with her sisters, brother and cousins while her mother and aunt prepared dinners to enjoy as a family. Those very memories are what made cooking special to her meaning togetherness, caring and fun.Her passion for cooking and traditional flavor landed Elsie as a Finalist onFOX Network’s Hell’s Kitchen, on Univision and even as an IMUSA Top Chef.
In 2008, Elsie’s first cookbook, Elsie’s Turkey Tacos and Arroz Con Pollo, was an ideal approach for cooking delicious and easy Latin flavored with a Puerto Rican twist of recipes that are ideal for busy working families.Finding her culinary calling led Elsie to study at the French Culinary Institute where she further mastered her skill and discovered her full potential. Although Elsie has had a successful culinary career, it is in the heart of her home, the kitchen, where she really puts her skills to work while raising 6 children alongside her husband Ray in New Jersey.
